Leah Oberle is in contention for the Columbus Dispatch Athlete of the Week award. Over the past week she was a part of winning the State Championship in Water Polo where she scored the winning goal in the final game. Mr. Almanson has emailed all students a link to vote for Leah, and make her Athlete of the Week for central Ohio.

- Want to get into the Holiday Spirit? Want to avoid being a Grinch and have your heart grow three sizes in one day? Thomas Worthington High school is participating in their annual toy drive for elementary schools in the Chillicothe area. For many of these students, this will be the only gift they receive. If you want to be Santa’s helper this year, see Mr. Pflieger (A303), Ms. Ohm(A206), Mrs. Adkins (A246), or Mr. Haskell (A243) to adopt a student and purchase them a gift. You might even end up on Santa’s Good list!

- All this week and next Student Council is sponsoring a coat and winter clothing drive to help out local families in need this winter. Please bring in gently used coats, jackets, hats, scarves, and mittens to participating teachers before Friday, November 1st. The class that brings in the most items will get a Donut Party on the Friday of their choice. We will keep you updated this week with who is in the lead!
- Do you love cats? Are you looking for an exciting volunteer opportunity after school? Join the new “Cats and Kindness” club here at TWHS! Our club is dedicated to promoting animal welfare, particularly helping cats in need in Central Ohio. Our first planning meeting will be Thursday October 31st after school in Mr. Joyce’s room A306 in the new building. A representative from the “Cat Welfare Association” will be available to answer questions and discuss shelter volunteer opportunities. We hope to see you there!
- Interested in acting, but not sure how to get involved in theatre? Audition for the Theatre Department’s Children Show! This is the perfect show to try your hand at acting! The Children’s Show will be touring to the elementary schools in April as well as performing a public performance. Auditions for second semester musicals are right around the corner! There will be a short dance call at auditions on November 4th for underclassmen and November 5th for upperclassmen.
