The boys’ season is halfway over with a huge W against Kilbourne, but it still has some huge games including three more conference matches. At this point, we should look into how they feel the season is going and what their goals are for the rest of the season.
Adam Brown, a player on the team states,
“I feel like the season has been going well,” says Adam Brown, a senior and 2nd year varsity player. “We have definitely improved as a team and program overall.”
As the season progresses with a new coach at the helm, there is a lot of room for setting strong goals even at this point in the season
“Our goals for the rest of the season is to make it to the regional final and to have a winning record before the postseason starts,” continues Brown.
Those are some excellent goals for the season. Noticing major improvements is vital for the team to succeed. The recent win against Kilbourne will be a massive confidence booster for the rest of the season, especially playoffs.
As the soccer team progresses through the season, they have some important matchups ahead against Marysville, Hilliard Darby, and Dublin Jerome. Securing victories in these games is crucial for their postseason aspirations, as it would significantly lighten their path to the playoffs.
The team’s determination and grit drive them to bring these goals to life. With a roster heavily relied on by seniors, the players are even more motivated to achieve their aspirations.
“We build off of each other’s weaknesses. During Practices and games we push each other to improve at things we are uncomfortable doing,” Brown states.
As the season nears its end, the team is focused on their ambitions and making the most of the short time they have left. Good luck to the boys for the rest of the season!
