- Are you good at trivia? Do you like to watch Jeopardy? Then you should check out the Thomas Worthington In The Know team. The In The Know team is Thomas Worthington’s Academic Trivia Team. Academic Trivia competitions cover subjects like Math, Science, Social Studies, Literature, Current Events, Sports, and even Video Games and Music. We will be participating in league matches against other Central Ohio schools as well as weekend and weeknight tournaments around Central Ohio. The Trivia season runs from September through May and we hold weekly practices after school on Thursdays in room A107 from 3:45-5:15. - “Attention Cardinals, the Thomas Worthington Sophomore Class is proud to announce that this year’s Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th at 8pm. With limited indoor space, the dance will be held outside in the stadium weather permitting. Tickets will go on-sale Monday, September 29th. Homecoming Spirit Week will be held October 6th through the 10th. The theme of the dance will be announced this Friday…stay tuned for more updates and hints from the Class of 2028.”
- Congratulations to the Marching Band, who performed at the 51st Pickerington Band Fest on Saturday. They earned 1st place in their class along with caption awards for Best Color Guard, Best Music, Best Visual, and Best General Effect. They also earned the overall caption awards for Best Color Guard, Best General Effect, Best Music, and Best Visual, and brought home the Grand Champion trophy! This week the marching band performs at the Historic Crew Stadium at 1:00pm on Saturday entering the national circuit for Bands of America.
- Build My Future Central Ohio is hosting an exciting, one-day event designed to immerse high school students (9th-12th grade) in the world of residential construction careers by offering hands-on learning labs. This event offers a unique opportunity for students, schools, and industry experts to come together and explore the diverse career paths available in the construction industry.The field trip is on October 1st from 9:00 to 3:00. Lunch and busing will be provided. At Build My Future, you’ll have the chance to be introduced to a number of careers in the construction industry. The trip will include hands-on labs, networking opportunities, and learning about jobs in central Ohio!TWHS is limited to only 50 students, so please act now if you are interested in going. If you would like to attend, please print, sign, and return the permission slip to Mrs. Dow in the School Counseling Office at TWHS!
