- What’s your favorite scary movie? If this is a question to which you would have a lot to say then you should probably join this week’s Film Club meeting in room A123 after school on TODAY. We will discuss the best movies for the Halloween season, and more. It is bound to be a “Scream”ing good time!
- Hey cards, clear out your closet before winter by donating your gently used warm weather gear to support families in need. Donations will be gladly accepted by each of your homeroom teachers, competing for the reward of donuts for the class who collects the most! Thank you for supporting coats for a cause!
- Looking for a way to improve your performance skills? Want a low-pressure environment to build your acting confidence? Want to learn how sketch comedy shows write material? Check out Improv Club! We meet weekly on Tuesdays in room 177 in the LEM from 3:30-5. Email [email protected] or [email protected] with questions. We hope to see you there!
- Interested in traveling abroad with your TWHS classmates? How about taking a dip in Iceland’s Tik Tok famous blue lagoon? What about taking a selfie with a llama on top of Machu Picchu? Then, you’re in luck, because TWHS is traveling to Iceland and Peru in 2027! Find out more at Worthington Travel Night on Monday, November 17th at 7 pm in the WKHS cafeteria. - Hey Cards! If you’re tired of drinking the school fountain water or tired of paying too much here at school, fly on by the aviary where our large ice mountain bottled waters are only a dollar each!! Say ‘Yes’ to the sportcap! The Aviary – For Students, By Students…..open every period except 2nd.
- Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you would like to take the ACT, the December 13 ACT will be offered at Thomas Worthington. You are encouraged to register early as spaces are limited. Go to ACT.org for more registration information.
- This winter and spring the TWHS Theatre will be presenting two musicals, The Wedding Singer and Smile. Auditions for both musicals will take place at 6pm on November 5th for underclassmen, November 6th for upperclassmen and November 7th for callbacks. If you are interested in auditioning for The Wedding Singer, you must have availability from December 8-February 8th and availability from February 28th-May 3rd for Smile. Video audition submissions for the Children’s Show Tour, Goldilocks are due on November 23rd. For more information about both musical and play auditions, please scan the QR codes on the fliers that can be located on each level of the new building and in the LEM.
- Do you enjoy playing chess, but don’t have the time? Join the Cardinal Chess Club! The Cardinal Chess Club offers an opportunity to improve your chess skills with new experiences such as competitive monthly tournaments and to create a community of strong players in our school. Join us weekly on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:00 in Room A219. If you’re interested and want to be part of the Cardinal Chess Club, please stop by Room A219 after school on Tuesdays.
