Science Olympiad meets after school every Thursday in Room 176 at the end of the T in the science hallway.” Right now, we are starting to prepare for this winter’s invitational events, so it’s a great time to join us! The Cardinals host Dublin Jerome Friday night and we look forward to another great crowd. Students get in free once their student ID is scanned at the student gate. Once in the stadium, please find your seat in the bleachers unless using the restroom or going to the concession stand. Please do not congregate on the asphalt, hillside, or path. As always, show your Cardinal Spirit and GO CARDS!
Lights…camera…ACTION! The Homecoming Dance this year will be Hollywood themed. The dance will take place on the turf at TWHS Stadium at 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 7th. Tickets and guest forms will be available two weeks before the dance begins next Monday. In the event of poor weather, communication will go out by 12:00 PM on Saturday if the dance needs to be moved into the main gym.
Feeling thrifty? Got old dresses cluttering up your closet? TWHS Student COuncil is hosting a “Formal Swap” to take place before homecoming. Starting next week, students and parents can drop off any used formal wear items. Formal dresses, shirts/ties, pants, or shoes are accepted. Bring your items to the Central Office before school and during lunch. Bring an item and receive a swap ticket to exchange for an item. Or buy a Swap ticket at the “Formal Swap” on Monday, October 2nd. All remaining proceeds will be donated to Fairy Goodmothers.
This week we are hosting a toiletry drive for the Military and Service Heroes Pantry in Marysville, Ohio. Bring toothbrushes/toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo/conditioner, and hand soap to any English Classroom. The drive ends Friday, September 22.
Due to summer travel and an active hurricane season, the American Red Cross is experiencing a nationwide blood shortage. In a few weeks, you can step up to make a difference. Our Student Council will be sponsoring its first blood drive of the year on Friday, October 13th! Students 16 and over are encouraged to donate. Sixteen-year-olds require a parent permission form. Sign-ups begin next Monday during lunches outside in the Aviary.
