- Congratulations to the marching band which performed in their first-ever Bands of American Regional Championship. They earned 3rd place in their class and were selected as a finalist! The event took place in Obetz, and featured 29 groups from 5 states. The Pride of Cardinal Country finished in 11th place overall.
- Have you gotten your ticket to the Homecoming dance yet? You can find the QR code to purchase your ticket on the Homecoming dance posters in your teacher’s classroom or on your graduating class’ schoology page. You can also find guest forms and dance guidelines there. Remember that guest forms are due to Mrs. Volpe at the front office reception no later than Friday Sept 27, 3:15pm. See you Saturday, 8pm on the turf! It will be a fun night of dancing, yard games and concessions!
- In preparation for the Homecoming dance this week, we need you to vote for your Homecoming Court! Teachers have nominated students from each grade level who exemplify the Cardinal-ships of TWHS, but it is up to you to pick the top two to represent you. Voting forms are live on your graduating class’ schoology page until Wednesday 4pm. Top 2 freshmen, sophomore and juniors will be crowned at the Homecoming pep rally on Friday while the 2 of the top 6 seniors will be crowned at the Homecoming Game Preshow, at 6:40p. Cast your votes soon!
- On Wednesday, Sept 25th the TWHS Boys Golf Team will take on Worthington Kilbourne for the Worthington Cup! This will take place at Worthington Hills starting at 4:00 PM. Please come out and support the CARDS as they attempt to go back, to back, to back, to back Champs in the Worthington Cup!

- The TWHS Future Medical Professionals Club will have its first introductory meeting for the 24-25 school year on Tuesday 9/24 8-830am in the Health Office (184 of the LEM) at Thomas Worthington HS. We will be discussing professions that students would like to hear more about. We plan to present speakers throughout the year on medically related professions including nursing, medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, mental health, athletic training, emergency medicine (EMTs/paramedics), biomedical engineering, dentistry, and more! Speakers will share about their professional careers and post-secondary schooling trajectories. For this introductory meeting, we will rank student interest in which speakers they would like to hear more from this year. Our speaker schedule will be announced in October.
- Want to join the Cards For Kids Program? Thomas Worthington High School students involved in the Cards For Kids Program serve as mentors to elementary school students. The Cards For Kids Program provides a way to use the talents and skills of teens as role models to younger children and support teachers in the classroom. Other programs like this have shown that elementary students increase their self-confidence and gain a more positive attitude toward school after spending time with a high school mentor. This is also an enjoyable way for high school students to provide a valuable service to their community. If you are interested in joining this program, stop by the counseling office and pick up an application.
- Seniors! Put in your request for a free senior T-shirt! Go to the link on Schoology to sign up before Friday, October 4th! T-shirts are still being designed and will be voted on in the coming weeks.
