Announcements for February 17th and 18th 2021

  • In an effort to celebrate this Black History Month we will be airing little known Black History facts throughout the month. Way back in 1664, marriage between races was banned in the colonies that would later become the United States; this law was first enacted in the colony of Maryland, with others quickly following suit. It might seem unbelievable in our modern-day society that this took more than 300 years to overturn—but less unbelievable when you understand the full depth of institutional racism and what it means.

  • Diversity Club will meet today during 5th period, in room 235.. Toya Spencer, our district Diversity, Inclusion and Equity coordinator will be our guest speaker. All students are welcome.

  • There will be a brief meeting at the beginning of 7th period  for any boy interested in participating in Boys Tennis this year. Please meet Coach Starks in the counseling office. (Please read this announcement on Friday as well)
  • A pandemic can’t stop talent! Do you have a special skill or talent? The TWHS Talent show is going virtual this year! More details to follow, but for now – make sure you are practicing.
