- Please join us for the March Diversity Club meeting which will take place on Tuesday, March 16, and Wednesday, March 17, in room 235 during 5th period. You will be excused from your class that period. We will look forward to seeing you there!
- “The pandemic can’t stop talent… it just makes us show it off a little differently! This year, we will be compiling a video of all the various talents the students and staff of TWHS want to show off. The video will be shared, the most beloved act will be selected, and a donation will be made in their honor.
For more information and to sign up, head to your graduating class’s Schoology page or check out a flyer around school! The submission deadline has been extended until Sunday, March 21st.
- Attention Seniors: Diploma Presenters for GraduationEvery year, each graduate is given the opportunity to choose a diploma presenter who has been influential in his/her life. The special person that each senior selects must be a current or former Worthington City Schools employee. The person you select will be invited to present your diploma to you at Commencement in May 2021. In order to request the person you would like as your diploma presenter, you must turn in your request using this Diploma Presenter Request Google Form no later than Friday, March 26, 2021. The form can be found on your class Schoology page and other senior graduation communications. There is NO need to ask the person you are requesting ahead of time. The diploma presenter coordinator, Mrs. Wilson, will do that for you. Due to the time and effort involved in inviting these individuals and in organizing this addition to the Commencement ceremony, your cooperation in meeting this deadline is imperative. If you do not request a guest presenter, a member of the Worthington Board of Education will present your diploma. - March is Women’s History Month. Throughout this month we will highlight some of the various contributions of women around the world. Virginia D. Aderholt is just one in upwards of 10,000 American women codebreakers who worked behind the scenes of WWII, keeping up with the conveyor belt of wartime communications and intercepts. These women continually broke the ever-changing and increasingly complex systems used by the Axis Powers to shroud their messages in secrecy, providing vital intelligence to the U.S. Army and Navy that allowed them to not only keep many American troops out of harm’s way but ensure the country emerged from war victorious.
