Announcements for April 14, 2021

  • Today is day three of the students vs. staff Tik Tok Challenge! Today’s theme is Werk It Wednesday. Show us your best dance moves! Be sure to tag @TWHS2023 and #TWHSTikTokChallenge to participate. Winning videos will earn a $20 DQ gift card!
  • Seniors: Cap and gown pick-up will take place this Thursday and Friday from 10:30-3:00 pm in the Cards Center. If you have questions, reach out to Mr. Brienza.
  • The time has come to select our Student Council Leaders for next year! Do you want to lead your class and school? Do you want to play a major role in shaping and carrying out some of the biggest events at TWHS? Do you want to help have a positive impact on our community? Then you should run to be a part of Student Council! Applications and more information can be found on your graduating class’s Schoology page. Applications to be a Student Body Officer are due 4/23. Class Officer and Representative Applications are due 4/26. See Mr. Duffy in room 269 with any questions!
  • Nominate a teacher for the Gary Smith Compassionate Teaching Award. During this unique and challenging year, has a teacher or staff member gone out of their way to help you learn, succeed, or solve life problems? Are you better off because of that person’s special efforts? If so, nominate them for The Gary Smith Compassionate Teaching Award. Nomination forms are posted in front of the Counseling Office. Show your gratitude; honor someone who deserves to be recognized for a big heart and hard work on your behalf.
  • The Girls of Color Club will be hosting a meeting TODAY at 3:30 in Mrs. Kelsten’s room, 280. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month, they will be discussing the subject of sexual assault in different environments, how it affects women, and how everyone can be more knowledgeable on the subject. Anyone is invited to join in on the conversation, and if you have further questions feel free to stop by Mrs. Kelsten’s room 280.
  • Any student observing Ramadan will be able to go to room 127 during lunch to have a quiet food-free space.
  • Please join us for the next Diversity Club meeting on Friday, April 16th in room 235. This meeting will take place during 4th period and you will be excused from class.
